waiting for fate.

alone I wait -
a million hopes plaguing my stuttering heart.
a million dreams threading together my sanity.

I wait and
I wait.
Not wanting to break this silence within me.
Dreaming again and again of silly fantasies.
Denying my fate to be my own,
No longer wanting to be alone.

So -

I wait,
and
I wait.
Wanting six walls to become five.
Wanting to see with these blinded eyes.
As a voice makes its way to me.
And a face breaks through valiantly.
For the first time.

Am I a fool?
Or just stubborn?
As I wait for my dreams to come true.
But what more is there to do?

In the same string
that they say will lead me to destiny.
